What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Laboratory Scientist/UT position at Select Laboratory Partners?
ValleyLab located in Salt Lake City, UT is seeking to hire a full time medical laboratory scientist to join our reference laboratory team. Extensive training is provided in Clinical Chemistry and Hematology. Laboratory utilizes state of the art laboratory instruments and laboratory information system.
Job duties include but not limited to:
- Identify, troubleshoot, document and resolve problems with instruments
- Perform pre-analytic checks and maintenance as required
- Perform Calibrations, Quality control, and analyze blood and urine samples
- Verify and report patient results to ordering providers
- Follow safe laboratory practice and standard operating procedure
- Provide courteous customer support
- Comply with HIPPA. OSHA and CLIA requirements
Position is full time working Monday - Friday 8:30am - 5pm. Option for Medical, Dental and Vision benefits.
Education and experience requirements:
Preferred applicant must hold a Bachelor's degree as a medical laboratory scientist with clinical laboratory experience in Hematology and Clinical Chemistry. New college graduates with Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology or related field OR MLT with Associates degree will be considered.
