Overview
The Senior Director of Digital Communications develops, oversees and manages the execution of Select Medical’s digital marketing and communications strategy across three lines of business, creating opportunities to engage with target audiences, including healthcare consumers, referral sources and payors, to enhance the company’s brands, programs and services to support organizational growth aligned with short- and long-term business objectives.
This experienced leader will bring vision, strategic agility and a data-driven approach to maximize the effectiveness of Select Medical’s digital marketing channels touching 60 brands.
A proven ability to guide a high performing team to execute successful marketing investment strategies is paramount in this role. Candidates will also require strong communication, project management and analytical skills, and have the ability to influence across all levels of a large, complex organization.
This position reports to the Senior Vice President and Chief Communications, Marketing & Branding Officer and will partner closely with a Senior Director of Digital Communications peer responsible for analytics, reporting and online reputation management.
Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee digital marketing and communications strategy to advance corporate and divisional business goals.
- Drive awareness and demand for health care services, engaging consumers, referral sources and payors across full digital footprint.
- Oversee SEO/SEM and other digital engagement strategies to guide/drive higher engagement.
- Manage team of five digital communications colleagues, fostering a positive, collaborative environment.
- Manage digital marketing agency.
- Oversee content updates, functionality, efficiency and maintenance of 40 websites.
- Partner closely with Information Systems colleagues to stand up and launch new websites.
- Set and deliver on aggressive website and digital campaign KPIs.
- Create and execute goal-focused marketing campaigns across all digital platforms and formats.
- Present website and digital campaign performance to market, regional and divisional leadership.
- Develop strong working relationships with relevant division field and corporate leadership continually seeking productive opportunities to develop digital strategies that support business priorities.
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
- At least 20 years’ experience with increasing seniority in digital marketing.
- Proven track record of creating substantive, engaging digital experiences around business-to-consumer brands.
- Experience managing and inspiring teams to work effectively and creatively.
- Experience designing and executing innovative digital communications strategies that demonstrate significant ROI.
- Strong command of metrics and analytics to drive strategy and increase engagement.
- Strong teamwork, planning and project management skills.
- Excellent oral and written communications skills, with sharp attention to detail.
- Bachelor's degree required.
Preferred qualifications:
- Healthcare experience a plus, but not required.
- Agency background a plus, but not required.
