What are the responsibilities and job description for the Loving and Communicative Nanny position at Select Sitters?
A Durham family of four recently welcomed their second child and they are looking for a infant aficionado nanny to join them soon! If you are a detail-oriented, loving, and safety-conscious nanny who loves the infant stage, this family hopes to meet you soon! Their ideal nanny would be able to create and follow routines well, be organized, and keep things tidy. They would appreciate someone who is well-versed in all things infant (sleep, food, hygiene, etc.). Their ideal candidate would be warm, caring, and communicative. Mom is breastfeeding but already introducing bottles to the baby to ensure a smooth transition. Primary care will be for the family’s infant who will be 3 months old when the nanny begins. He is a snuggly and calm baby so far. The family also has a 3-year-old who loves drawing and imaginative play. She is in school full-time but may occasionally be home and need care on teacher work days. Mom primarily works outside of the home while Dad works from home in a dedicated space. The family also has a 10lb hypoallergenic dog who is as sweet as can be!
Aside from providing attentive care for the family’s infant, they would appreciate help with keeping the kids’ rooms and closets organized, kids’ laundry, meal prep for the children, sanitizing toys and rotating toys when needed, and keeping bottles and dishes clean throughout the day.
The typical work hours will be Monday-Friday 8:30 AM-5 PM with the option to end earlier on Fridays around 4/4:30 PM if the nanny desires. The family is hoping to find a nanny interested in working with them through August 2025 when their little one will begin daycare.
