Job Overview:
Are you passionate about storytelling, capturing special moments, and bringing them to life through social media? Select Soccer Club seeks a creative and enthusiastic Marketing and Social Media Specialist to elevate our brand and connect with our community. In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase the magic of youth soccer by capturing photos, videos, and content that highlight our players' joy, passion, and achievements. This part-time position is perfect for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and is excited to work evenings and weekends at games, tournaments, and events.
Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Storytelling
- Create and execute a social media content calendar that captures the essence of Select Soccer Club’s mission and values.
- Capture real-time photos and videos at games, tournaments, and events, turning them into compelling stories for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
- Write engaging captions and create posts that bring our players’ journeys and achievements to life.
- Monitor and interact with followers on social media, fostering a vibrant and engaged online community.
Content Creation & Marketing
- Design visually appealing graphics and promotional materials using tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Produce short, dynamic video content to share across social media platforms.
- Collaborate with the Director of Marketing to develop creative campaigns highlighting club programs, events, and initiatives.
- Maintain brand consistency across all content and platforms.
Event Coverage & Support
- Attend club events, practices, games, and tournaments to capture and document the action.
- Provide live coverage on social media during key events.
- Assist with the planning and executing promotional events, tryouts, and community outreach initiatives.
Brand Advocacy
- Act as a brand ambassador for Select Soccer Club, embodying our values and passion in all interactions.
- Identify and share extraordinary moments that exemplify the club’s mission to inspire and develop players on and off the field.
Qualifications:
- A passion for creating content that tells a story and connects with audiences.
- Previous experience managing social media platforms and creating digital content (sports-related experience is a plus).
- Strong photography and videography skills, including capturing and editing content for social media.
- Proficiency in design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Excellent writing skills, with a knack for crafting captions and posts that resonate.
- Familiarity with trends in social media and youth sports.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and occasional holidays.
