What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Technician position at Select Source International?
The Laboratory Technician is responsible for utilizing a wide array of computers, tools and automated machines to manufacture and qualify microplates. This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor and is part of the Manufacturing Operation’s team located in San Jose, CA and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: • Following established procedures to setup, fill and test various microplates • Analyze large datasets using Excel and other advanced data analysis software • Contribute to group problem solving and process improvement activities
The essential requirements of the job include:
Minimum 2 years relevant experience in a technical, manufacturing or laboratory position
Associates degree in a technical field or comparable work experience
Proficiency in PC applications skills: MS Word, Excel, VB, MS Access, Windows Explorer Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements: Ability to lift, move or carry equipment up to 35lb It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: • BS degree in a Life Science, Chemistry, or Engineering technology discipline
Prior work experience with automation, centrifuges, plate readers, liquid handling equipment (Beckman, Agilent, Hamilton)
