What are the responsibilities and job description for the Safety Coordinator position at Selectek, Inc.?
We have a client in Louisville KY that has an immediate need for a Safety Coordinator that will be responsible for safe, accurate, timely implementation of safety training and following all applicable protocols including OSHA 1926 AND MSHA 488 for all field employees.
- 5 plus years of leadership in Safety in a Construction or Industrial setting
- OSHA 1926 and/or MSHA 48B instructors cards preferred or achievable within 3-5 years.
- Execute periodic OSHA & MSHA training for new hire candidates and existing crew refresher courses.
- Provide input to sales in the job quoting process to ensure adequate safety considerations are met.
- Maintain 3rd party safety training compliance sites. (ISNet, Avetta, Gatefeed, TappiSafe, etc.)
- Audit district personnel to ensure OSHA & MSHA training compliance.
- Research, implement and communicate the most current alerts and guidance from OSHA & MSHA.
- Travel as necessary to support district job planning, employee training and audits.
- Serve as resident expert regarding safety compliance at and customer sites.
- Manage and control costs of safety program.
- Fulfill First Aid and Introductory Rigging training requirements for crew.
- Identification of and maintenance of inventory of safety training materials.
