What are the responsibilities and job description for the BIM Technician position at Selectek?
Our client is currently seeking a BIM Technician.ÂSummary : Create 3D BIM drawings from 2D plans accurately displaying the intended electrical installation.Create detail installation and prefabrication drawings that include assembly directions.Job Duties : Prepare BIM drawings for the project documentation and receive updates from engineers and designers as the design develops.Updates also are received from field personnel as coordination continues.Attend coordination meetings with other trades including travel to and sometimes work at remote job sites.Setup Navisworks file and incorporate other trades models.Create clash detection sets in Navisworks with other building systems involved in the BIM process.Must communicate with Engineers, Field Foreman, Project Managers, & General Contractors.Works with Foreman to develop internal schedules and ensures deadlines are hit with high quality drawings.Assisting GF with RFI’s.Attends Kick-off, Design and Fab Meetings and offer Valuable input.Creating a positive team environment by maintaining contact with the construction and prefab teams.Has the ability to populate a majority of a Model with-out field MSOP’s up to date with changes and offering input in BIM Development.Serve as a single point of contact between field, BIM team, and the shop for BIM projects.Requirements : Proficiency in Revit and AutoCADKnowledge and ability to read and understand design and construction documentsGood communication and organizational skillsAbility to multi-task and adapt quicklyPay Range : $22 – 32 / hr, depending on experience ÂFor more information, please Apply, and / or email a copy of your resume to Beka Cassidy at BCassidy@selectek.net. Â
