Job Title : PLC Controls Engineer / TechnicianLocation : Worcester, MAAre you a motivated and detail-oriented individual with a passion for PLC controls and a desire to contribute to the design and implementation of cutting-edge machinery?We have an immediate need for a skilled PLC Controls Engineer / Technician to join our team in the Worcester, MA area. This is a full-time, contract-to-direct position with a strong potential for permanent placement within 6 months.About the Role : PLC Programming : You will implement, test, and support software applications for PLC platforms (Allen Bradley, Siemens), developing HMI and PLC programs based on machine specifications.Electrical Design : You will assist with machine design and develop electrical documentation.Testing and Support : You will participate in the testing process, perform software maintenance, and develop training manuals as needed.Machine Assembly & Installation : You will assist in the assembly of proprietary equipment and occasionally travel to customer sites for installation and service.Who You Are : PLC Knowledge : You possess a working knowledge of PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens), or hold a BSEE, or have a combination of relevant education and work experience.Team Player : You are a team player who can work effectively in a collaborative environment.Self-Starter : You are a self-starter who can work independently with minimal direction.Detail-Oriented : You are detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and proven problem-solving abilities.Preferred Qualifications : Experience with Graphical User Interface design / development (Allen Bradley family).Understanding and experience with test equipment.Understanding and experience with mechanical assembly.Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.Compensation & Benefits : Competitive Hourly Rate : Starting pay is $35-$55 / hour, depending on experience and education.Competitive Salary : Estimated direct salary range of $70,000 - $100,000 upon conversion to permanent status.Contract-to-Direct : This is a full-time, contract-to-direct position with a strong likelihood of permanent placement within 6 months.Ready to Join Our Team?If you are a talented and motivated PLC Controls Engineer / Technician with a passion for automation and a desire to grow your career with a reputable company, please apply and reach out to Brian Ray at bray@selectek.net or call 470-415-8255.
