Site Acquisition Specialist II:
SSC is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Site Acquisition Specialist II to join our Site Acquisition team. This position is an excellent opportunity to continue a career in the wireless telecommunications field. The candidate will assist with researching and identifying viable site locations, site visits, and lease/site document reviews for wireless infrastructure while learning from experienced professionals.
The responsibility of the Site Acquisition Specialist II shall be:
- Research and identify potential search ring locations based on coverage requirements, zoning regulations, and customer needs.
- Complete site visits, feasibility assessments, and preliminary evaluations including completing SCIPs.
- Negotiate lease agreements, amendments, and related contracts with property owners and landlords.
- Review lease documents to assess carrier rights.
- Coordinate with local municipalities to secure zoning approvals and building permits.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, including environmental and historical preservation requirements.
- Organize and maintain records of agreements, permits, and project documentation within internal and external databases.
- Contribute to progress updates and reports for internal and external stakeholders.
Some travel and relationship-building with property owners will be required. The Site Acquisition Specialist II will coordinate the responsibilities of each site project with the Site Acquisition Department and the Engineering Department to ensure client deliverables and timelines are met.
Candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:
- The ability and willingness to proactively communicate with clients and other employees daily.
- Candidate must be a self-starter. Candidate must be able to operate as a part of a team, and independently. Critical thinking, organization, and problem-solving are essential aspects to the position.
- Precise written and oral communication skills, with an ability to concisely summarize, in writing, prior instructions communicated by clients orally in meetings and conference calls.
- Superior organizational skills.
- Proficiency with the Microsoft suite of desktop programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Valid and clear driver’s license and ability to travel locally and regionally as required.
Experience/Education:
It is preferred that the candidate possess 1-5 years’ experience in wireless site development, or an advanced degree (e.g. MBA or JD). Undergraduate (4-year) degree strongly preferred.
