Position Summary:
The Children’s Behavioral Health Counselor will provide individual and family counseling to children and adolescents experiencing emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. This role focuses on creating a safe space where young clients can process emotions, build coping skills, and achieve personal growth.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions for children and adolescents.
- Offer parent coaching and family sessions to support the client’s home environment.
- Collaborate with schools, pediatricians, and other community supports as needed.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
- Participate in team meetings, trainings, and case consultations.
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related field.
- Independent licensure or working towards licensure (LPC, LPCC, LSW, LISW, MFT, etc.).
- Experience working with children, adolescents, and families in a clinical setting.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care and behavioral health best practices.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
