Community Support Worker

Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals with disabilities or those requiring assistance in their daily activities. This role involves promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life for our clients while ensuring their safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication administration.
• Monitor and document patient progress and changes in behavior or condition.
• Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive environment.
• Implement care plans tailored to individual needs, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
• Maintain a clean and safe living environment for clients, adhering to hygiene standards.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in long-term care settings is preferred.
• Knowledge of first aid and CPR techniques is highly desirable.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families.
• Experience in assisted living or social work is a plus.
• Familiarity with medication administration protocols is beneficial.

Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
