What are the responsibilities and job description for the Lead Valet - Sheraton Gateway position at SELIG PARKING?
OVERVIEW: Lead Valet attendant provides assistance, services and information to guests entering the valet area in order to assure a pleasant, comfortable visit for our guests, including all parking aspects and public safety. The essential job functions are listed below but may include duties which are outside of these job functions which are required to meet the need of the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Greet and welcome guest to the establishment and offer professional valet services within 30 seconds.
- Follow guest arrival procedure (after greeting guest do vehicle damage check, write claim ticket, etc.)
- Practice and adhere to AAA Basics Attitude, Assistance, and Appearance.
- Accommodate guests by opening doors and assisting with luggage or other heavy items.
- Direct traffic in the parking area as needed and assist guests in entering and leaving the parking lot.
- Answer guests' questions regarding local attractions, hotel amenities and other available services.
- Collect and secure keys belonging to guests to ensure their proper return.
- Park guests' vehicles in predetermined areas within the parking lot, following all traffic laws.
- Operate vehicles safely and responsibility per Company policy and State Laws i.e. Fasten seat belt, no ear buds in ears, not texting and driving etc.
- Organize and file paperwork regarding guests' vehicles and daily transactions.
- Follow hotel policies and procedures.
- Ensure work area, including office, parking lot, and driveway are clean free of debris and obstruction.
- Substitute for any position, if necessary.
