The Role
Farm Department Account Managers are responsible for managing all aspects of Farm Insurance accounts and linked Personal and Commercial Insurance policies.
This includes servicing, counseling, retention, and cross-selling of farm and related insurance products according to agency procedures and standards.
They will work with existing customers via inbound/outbound calls to assist those who wish to cancel or have their insurance requoted by reviewing coverage, counseling on available options, and retaining business.
Counseling existing customers concerning coverage and/or policy changes, quoting insurance rates, and accurately completing applications are key responsibilities.
Farm Department Account Managers will consistently look to prioritize the placing of business with core carriers.
Gathering necessary information for each quote, entering quote data into the agency provided quoting software, discussing and counseling each client with the product that best fits their needs, and performing account transactions are essential tasks.
Preparing and completing questionnaires, documents, and adjusting accounts in accordance with agency procedures and standards are also critical duties.
Documenting each interaction with a customer in our agency management system and attaching emails and documents in accordance with agency procedures are important responsibilities.
Acting proactively to retain accounts, following up on cancellations and Broker of Record letters, according to agency procedures, and seeking out new sales opportunities through networking, referrals, or asking for additional lines of business are key objectives.
