Are you a Project Manager with Heavy Civil and/or DOT project experience looking to work for a nationally recognized General Contractor?
Are you looking to be a figurehead who will be responsible for making key critical decisions that will determine the success of sophisticated infrastructure projects?
The Project Manager/Senior Project Manager is critical to SEMA Construction’s continued expansion and involves oversight of projects throughout Colorado. Reporting directly to the Business Unit Leader and VP of Operations, you will be exposed to a range of complex projects and be given the autonomy to manage them as you see fit, whilst also supported by your project teams, peers, and executive team. You will receive training and continued development in order to progress your career within the business long term.
Candidate Skills, Experience, and Background
- Bachelor’s Degree (or Equivalent) ideally in AEC (Architectural, Engineering and Construction) or a related discipline is desirable but not essential
- DOT (Department of Transportation) project experience is highly desirable, but experience with similar Government/State entities will be considered.
- Experience working on relevant project types such as Highways, Roadways, Bridges, Structures, Mass Earthwork, Drainage, Subsurface Utilities, Piping/Pipelines, Concrete Flatwork, Curb and Gutter, Reservoirs and Dams, Rail, or Overall Heavy Civil/Horizontal projects
- Must have experience operating in a General Contracting capacity; understand and demonstrate capabilities of managing the nuances of a project including such things as: Project Administration, Cost Control, Design or Engineering Issue Resolution/Management, Client Management/ Relationship Management, Plan Reading, Scheduling etc.
- Must be tech savvy and be able to get easily trained on systems such as Primavera P6 and Viewpoint.

- An experienced Project Manager or Construction Manager who has hit the “glass ceiling” in their current role and is looking for an opportunity to continue their career progression.
- An experienced Assistant Project Manager or Project Engineer who can demonstrate they are ready to take the next step in their career and run their own projects.
- An experienced Project Manager or Construction Manager who may be managing smaller projects and is looking for the opportunity to lead a wider variety of larger more complex work.
