What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sports Marketing Manager position at Seminole County/Board of County Commissioners?
Responsible for increasing visitor-generated revenue and building destination awareness targeting the leisure traveler. The Marketing Coordinator will plan, develop and execute Orlando North Seminole County (ONSC) Tourism’s annual content plan emphasizing activities in targeted domestic and international markets, emphasizing the increase of visitors to County hotels, retailers and restaurants. The ideal candidate has an understanding of Seminole County as a destination and its key domestic and international in-bound markets.

Bachelor’s Degree and three (3) years of tourism industry previous job experience, preferably with CVB or Tourism Sales experience.
A comparable amount of education, training, or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
Experience working with travel trends and Smith Travel Research monthly travel reports
Experience with editing audio files and purchasing audio files through content marketplaces (Shutterstock)
Experience with editing image files and purchasing image files through content marketplaces (Canva)
Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, customer service and organization skills
Working knowledge of video/image/audio editing, microcomputers and associated software
Technical knowledge of Sony Mirrorless Camera, DJI Gimbal Stabilizers, associated lenses, and auxiliary photography equipment
Creative knowledge on framing, timing, and other shooting techniques
Prior experience working with the Adobe Creative Cloud, webDAM, Crowdriff, and Cision preferred
Prior experience working with Smith Travel Research or Tourism Economics
Knowledge of the principles and practices used in selling and marketing a destination.
Ability to establish and maintain relationships with potential clients and local industry
Knowledge and experience of working with Customer Relation Management Software (CRM)
Must possess and maintain a valid Florida Driver’s License

- Manages content and copy for all marketing initiatives.
- Develops a yearly content strategy for all digital and traditional assets.
- Maintains all programs as they relate to the promotion of Orlando North Seminole County, including tradeshows, sales missions, FAM tours, product training, advertising and other travel trade industry initiatives.
- Ability to edit all content through the Adobe Premier, Photoshop, After Effects, and the entire Creative Cloud platform.
- Implements and hosts digital marketing strategy involving social media content, blogging, podcasts, email drip campaigns, and future marketing initiatives.
- Coordinates with Division leadership, develop and implement ONSC annual marketing plan.
- Builds and maintains ONSC industry partnerships, working closely with hotel leisure services sales teams to ensure ONSC activities complement hotelier plans and objectives.
- Builds and maintains relationships with travel trade operators, wholesalers, travel agents, trade and consumer media industry partners.
- Represents ONSC externally at industry meetings, conventions, and tradeshows.
- Responds to industry requests and opportunities as it relates to domestic and international leisure markets.
- Manages promotional activities related to assigned international and domestic leisure markets, including marketing programs in digital and traditional media.
- Communicates professionally with appropriate diplomacy and sensitivity to both internal and external partners.
- Assists with development of quarterly reports, summary of activities, meeting minutes and event recaps.
- Assists with special projects or campaigns as assigned.
