Overview
The Specialist – HR Operations, reporting directly to the Director – HR Operations, will provide HR support and guidance across multiple properties and global locations. This role will focus on supporting new property openings, expansions, and ongoing HR operational Support.
Responsibilities
• New Property Openings• Assist in developing project plans, including objectives, schedules, and budgets. • Track project milestones, timelines, and budgets utilizing Inntempo; making adjustments as necessary to ensure a successful opening. • Participate in team meetings and on project related critical path calls. • Assist with procuring materials and establishing and maintaining vendor relationships to negotiate favorable terms.• Communicate effectively and consistently with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates, project progress and gather feedback.• Participate in community outreach events, such as job fairs, career workshops, and networking events; including but not limited to assisting with planning, event logistics, presentations and speaking engagements. • Identify areas for improvement in existing processes, policies and procedures; recommend changes.• Liaise and partner with internal HR disciplines and stakeholders, Learning & Development, Team Member Relations, Compensation & Benefits, Talent, DE&I, and Tribal Career Development• Ensure organizational Brand Programs and Brand Standards are implemented by educating and reviewing expectations with new property leadership teams• Capture and analyze notes from meetings to provide comprehensive summaries and action items• Participate and assist in creating project related presentations, summaries and strategies. • Foster a collaborative team environment to enhance productivity and innovation.• Participate in property opening SWAT team and task force activities• Address and provide resolutions related to any issues or challenges that arise during the pre-opening project phase• Responsible for identifying and comprehending the diverse needs of our Lines of Business (LOBs), including Hotels, Casino, Cafe, and others.• Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders to influence decision-making and project outcomes.
• HR Operations/Advisory• Participate as an HR subject matter expert in annual brand compliance evaluation process• Coordinate post-opening 60–90-day check-ins to ensure operational effectiveness; recommend solutions where needed. • Deliver ongoing operational support to HR leaders at Hotels and Hotel/Casino locations worldwide.• Continuously seek opportunities to enhance HR Brand Standards, Brand Programs, and HR brand compliance evaluation form• Provide HR advice and counsel to business leaders on various issues, including performance management and recruiting.• Support HR initiatives and projects, such as talent management programs.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.• 3 years of experience in Human Resources, preferably in a support role, project management, or internships in related fields• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook are essential. Familiarity of project management tools and software are preferred.• Knowledge of Human Resources systems; Infinium, Kronos or related applications. Workday is preferred but not required. • Excellent communication, problem-solving, organizational skills, and strong ethical standards.• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key business leaders.• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously. • Skilled in self-directed task management and completion.• Demonstrated ability to take initiative and proactively address issues.• Experience supporting multiple property locations preferred.• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and influence others.• Reliable in ensuring both personal and team objectives are met.• Valid US Passport or ability to obtain; work visa may be required in select locations. • Ability to travel 50-60% of the time, as needed which may include weekends and holidays. Travel may be elevated during a new property opening.
