DESCRIPTION:
The Office Supervisor III performs administrative and clerical duties, such as distributing mail, managing calendars, maintaining filing system, and routing phone calls. Maintains department budget reports and related documentation, submits information for payroll processing, and coordinates department travel arrangements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Provides administrative support to department, such as distributing mail, managing calendars, maintaining filing system, and routing phone calls.
2. Maintains department budget reports and related documentation, requisitions supplies and materials.
3. Submits information for payroll processing.
4. Coordinates department travel arrangements.
5. Assists with facility rental agreements including meeting with potential vendor and preparing the required paperwork.
6. Supervises office staff and/or part time students/federal work study students, which may include hiring, scheduling, and training.
REQUIRED QUALFICATIONS:
1. Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma.
2. Two years of administrative or clerical experience.
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Associate degree in Office Systems Technology or similar curriculum.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
1. Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and processes.
2. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Outlook.
3. Problem solving skills.
4. Ability to take initiative, use independent judgement and discretion in completing responsibilities.
5. Ability to learn and become proficient in PeopleSoft.
6. Good oral and written communication skills.
7. Committed to working in a multi-cultural environment.
