Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the payroll process, ensuring accuracy in payroll calculations, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and payroll systems, along with excellent organizational skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Duties
- Prepare and process all payroll deductions, taxes and fringe benefits
- Prepare all Quarterly and Year End Tax Reports.
- Set up and maintain all personnel files.
- Data entry: Inputting employee time and attendance data into the payroll system.
- Responsible for all Payroll inquires (ie: employment verifications, garnishments
- Knowledge of Prevailing Wage Law and Certified Payroll Reporting preferred
- Manage workflow to ensure payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely
- Year-end reporting: Preparing W-2s and other required year-end tax form
- Assist employees with payroll, benefits .
Qualifications
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office, Experience using Construction or Payroll Software Programs (Sage Preferred)
- Ability to process and manage payroll in a confidential manner
- Excellent organization skills, time management and prioritization abilities
- Strong Interpersonal Skills is critical
