Semmes Murphey Clinic's mission is to deliver the best care for people suffering from neurological illnesses while advancing the field of neuroscience.
The Human Resource Generalist carries out the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource department, as well as, assists the HR Director with administration of the human resource policies, procedures and programs. Major function areas include: recruitment coordination and talent management, benefits administration, and employee relations.

Requirements
We are looking for someone who can:
- Manage and administer employee benefit programs, including health, life, disability, and ancillary plans, ensuring compliance with regulations and plan documents.
- Oversee the recruiting process, manage the applicant tracking system, and facilitate new employee orientation and onboarding
- Support employee relations by developing HR policies, addressing complaints, assisting with performance evaluations, and ensuring proper leave management (FMLA, ADA, and disability).
- Ensure compliance with government reporting requirements, prepare necessary reports, and manage workers' compensation incidents.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, along with 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience. Strong knowledge of benefits administration, recruiting, employee relations, compliance, and labor laws is essential. Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are required, as well as proficiency in HR software and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
