Objective/Purpose
The Superintendent//SSHO will manage the mid-size/moderate complexity projects for Semper Tek Inc. This role oversees the total construction effort to ensure the project is constructed in accordance with the project documents, budget, schedule, and to the satisfaction of the client. It is expected that this individual will effectively communicate and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders. The Superintendent//SSHO is responsible for the overall safety and quality of the project.
Roles/Responsibilities
· Manage mid-size projects.
· Oversees total construction efforts and ensures adherence to project documents such as drawings, specifications, schedule, and client satisfaction.
· Oversees all Field logistics and Safety requirements for the project.
· Responsible for ensuring that a safe workplace remains the top priority by supporting policies, procedures, and practices. Ensure jobsite safety is meeting or exceeding OSHA regulations/EM385-1-1 regulations and STI’s Safety Program.
· Maintain client relationships.
· Coordinate and assist with the Quality Control Manager with Three Phase inspections.
· Coordinate all field activities.
· Plan and set up an efficient jobsite layout.
· Maintain a clean and orderly project.
· Conduct weekly subtrade meetings to plan, organize, control the assigned project.
· Maintain daily logs in RMS and Procore to document all jobsite activities and events.
· Implements and maintains life safety checkout procedures.
· Maintain a working relationship with Trade Partners.
· Review monthly schedule updates and projections with the Project Manager and take action to effectively manage the schedule.
· Proactive approach in identifying and solving field issues with subcontractors and/or project documents.
· Enforce the STI’s Drug, Alcohol, and Harassment policies.
· Enforce the Accident Prevention Plan and all associated Activity Hazard Analyses
· Support the Quality Control Manager with deficiency tracking, testing, and submittal review.
· 5-10 years of experience autonomously managing successful construction project.
· OSHA 30 Hour
· Ability to read, analyze & interpret federal contract documents, federal safety rules (including EM385-1-1), operating & maintenance instructions, & procedure manuals.
· Strong written and verbal communication skills.
· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Constant standing and walking, 66% or more
· Frequent sitting 34% or more
· Proficient in Microsoft Office.
· First Aid/CPR Certified
· Bloodborne Pathogen certification
· Construction Quality Management (CQMC) Certification
· USACE 24 Hour Competent Person Fall Protection Certification
· Proficient in RMS 3.0
Skills Preferred
· Preferably, a degree in Building Science, Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
· 5- 10 years of construction experience specializing in USACE Construction projects.
· Proficient in Procore
· Understanding of P6 scheduling.

Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud. The proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) will be required when exposed to the above conditions in accordance with OSHA and EM-385-1-1 safety provisions.

Exemption Status: Exempt
This is a full-time salary position. Travel is required within the United States; this role is job site based.
Hours of work will generally be during regular business hours, but there are occasions where weekend/night work is required due to contract requirements and/or logistical reasons.
