Job Description:
Responsibilities
The DA will design and deploy database architecture and systems infrastructure for the military IT systems. The DA's full time duty location will be onsite at Shaw AFB, SC but travel may be required to countries within the CENTCOM Area of Operations.
Job duties:
- Create strategies for performing repetitive tasks such as data acquisitions, migrations, data recoveries and new database implementations.
- Provide IT support for the review, analysis, troubleshoot and repair of database
- Define data requirements for database design and implement policies that lead to corporate solutions.
- Establish guidelines for security, maintenance, utilization, and business
- Lead efforts in performance tuning and optimization needed to maintain customer
- Create documentation that provides guidelines in regards to maintenance tasks, policies and procedures.
- Perform all routine scheduled database maintenance
- Work with database vendors as required to resolve database access and performance
- Perform analysis for collaboration of network / system needs and participate in planning, designing, upgrading and deployment of enterprise datacenter hardware and software using a project-based timeline.
Qualifications
- B.S. in related field AND 3 or more years relevant IT experience; OR 5 or more years relevant IT experience AND Database experience.
- SQL certification and ITIL Foundation required.
- Active Secret Clearance required.
