We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Release Engineer to join our team during the 2nd shift (11 AM - 8 PM EST). In this role, you will be responsible for managing and executing Salesforce release processes, ensuring smooth deployments, and maintaining system stability. You will collaborate closely with developers, administrators, and other stakeholders to optimize release pipelines and improve deployment efficiency.
Job Duties:
- Execute and manage Salesforce release processes, including changes across Sandboxes and Production environments.
- Utilize DevOps tools (e.g., Copado, Gearset, Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket) to streamline deployments and version control.
- Ensure proper CI/CD practices are followed for automated deployments.
- Troubleshoot and resolve deployment issues efficiently.
- Work closely with developers, administrators, QA teams, and business stakeholders to coordinate and execute release plans.
- Provide regular updates on release schedules, risks, and dependencies.
- Act as a key point of contact for any issues arising during the release cycle.
- Monitor Salesforce environments to ensure optimal performance post-release.
- Identify and implement improvements to deployment processes and system performance.
- Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and governance standards.
- Maintain detailed documentation for release processes, configurations, and deployment strategies.
- Advocate for and implement best practices in Salesforce DevOps and change management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related scientific/technical discipline
- 3 years of experience in Salesforce release management, DevOps, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce deployments using CI/CD tools like Copado, Gearset, Jenkins, or Git-based workflows.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce metadata, APIs, and deployment tools.
- Proficiency in Salesforce administration and configuration.
- Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, or PowerShell) for automation.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools such as JIRA or Azure DevOps.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively during the 2nd shift.
- Salesforce certifications such as Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, or DevOps/Release Management certifications.
- Experience with Salesforce DX (SFDX) and package-based deployments.
- Knowledge of ITIL practices for change and release management.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance
