Primary Purpose
The Environmental Supervisor is to prepare, coordinate, implement and oversee the environmental programs based upon HSE Guidelines and supervise the application of these programs in the Port Arthur LNG (PALNG) terminal facility following the Company procedures and standards. The Environmental Supervisor oversees all facility activities that comply with environmental and industry requirements. They supervise a team of environmental field staff and contractors to ensure the implementation of programs results in a positive outcome in health, safety, security and environmental requirements.This position reports to Operations HSSE Manager and will primarily be located at the PALNG site. Incumbent's primary residence must be located within a one-hour drive from the PALNG site to assure that response time for callouts is kept to a minimum, which increases the safety of our employees in an unexpected or emergent situation. Occasional travel to Contractor's offices or HCOE may be required.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain Environmental programs. Monitors and maintains a thorough control and understanding of all federal, state and local environmental regulations, legislation and policies, to keep team informed of changes and impacts, and to recommend solutions. Assist HSSE Manager with communication, interaction and working closely with regulatory agencies and with various departments to facilitate compliance and effective implementation of plans.Responsible for monitoring, tracking, and providing accurate HSSE data to HSSE Manager (e.g., spills, releases, Leading and Lagging Indicators). Responsible for ensuring the compliance with applicable codes, implementation of effective HSSE Management programs.
- Interface with Federal, State, and local agencies and assist with the communication and coordination of company activities, including environmental inspections from Federal, State, and local agencies. Act as the alternate point of contact for initial spill/release agency notifications.
- Provide recommendations as a subject matter expert on environmental best practices. Support the HSSE Manager with development, implementing, and maintaining environmental plans, procedures, manuals and programs. Review and provides comments to HSSE Manager for any third-party HSSE management systems, documentation, while ensuring compliance with project requirements. Collaborate closely, participates and facilitates meetings with contractor HSSE supervision for positive outcomes.
- Responsible for supervising a team of HSSE professionals on site including providing guidance, training, and technical support.Performs field observations, opportunity walks, JSEA, tool box meetings, lessons learned, stand downs, incident investigations, and internal and external audits, including implementation of corrective actions.
- Collaborate/plan with various departments when necessary to ensure environmental compliance requirements can be met for proposed terminal modifications and capital projects.
- Maintain a constant presence of environmental stewardship by always observing site conditions, awareness of local wildlife in the area, and enforcing good housekeeping practices throughout terminal facilities.
- Responsible for conducting and participating in internal and external audits.
- Perform other duties as assigned (no more than 5% of duties).
Education
- Bachelor's Degree Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, other applied sciences, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Experience
- 5 Progressive experience in environmental quality management and compliance with applicable field experience in large operating facilities in the Oil and Gas Industry preferable LNG or other cryogenic experience. Required
- 8 Experience in a related field. Preferred

- Possess an understanding of applicable federal, state, and local environmental laws, regulations, codes, standards, and permits required to construct and operate LNG terminals.Possess extensive experience in implementing best practices of environmental compliance.Possess strong leadership abilities to build positive team environment, supervise and influence team performance including mentoring.Possess analytical thinking and ability to utilize concise data and information while working through problems and implementing solutions.
