Job Summary
The Facilities Assistant 3 will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities operate smoothly and efficiently by performing maintenance, repairs, and preventive measures. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical aptitude, problem-solving skills, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and functional work environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine and emergency maintenance and repairs on building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to facility operations.
- Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance and longevity of equipment.
- Responsible for facilities upkeep including maintain and repair building infrastructure, such as floors, walls, ceilings, and doors.
- Oversee and coordinate with external vendors for specialized repairs or services.
- Ensure the facility is clean, organized, and in compliance with safety regulations.
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and address any potential hazards.
- Maintain and update records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Manage equipment including inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies necessary for maintenance and repairs.
- Order and track maintenance supplies and equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and service history.
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to address facility-related needs and requests.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant technical certifications or an associate degree in facilities management, HVAC, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in facility maintenance or a similar role.
- Technical skills including proficiency in maintaining and repairing HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance.
- Strong diagnostic, problem solving, and troubleshooting skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally with staff and vendors.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, climb ladders, and perform physical tasks as needed.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., HVAC certification, electrical licensing) are a plus.
Working Conditions:
- This position may require occasional evening work and will require occasional weekend work, especially for urgent repairs or maintenance.
- The role involves physical activity, including lifting, climbing, and working in various environmental conditions.
Salary : $50,000 - $61,000
