Job Summary
The Floral Designer will be responsible for modeling and promoting Sendik’s culture by consistently providing “best in class” service to our guests. The main responsibility as a Floral Designer will be to design and create ar rangements for customer orders, as well as the sales floor. In addition, the Floral Designer will build rapport with customers, while maintaining the Home Department.

Work Experience
Duties/Responsibilities
- Serve customers in the Home Department while modeling Sendik’s culture and providing “best in class” customer service, which includes, greeting, engaging, delighting and thanking every guest for their busi ness
- Provide consistent, timely and friendly customer service when answering questions, making sugges tions and resolving complaints
- Oversee special event orders (i.e. parties, weddings, etc.); including, but not limited to, designing and creating arrangements

Maintain delivery log for all customer orders
- Ensure that the Home Department is always full and fresh with the best quality products
- Maintain department conditions, ensuring coolers and island are stocked, floral is rotated and the de partment is clean and well organized
- Create attractive Home Department displays and end caps based on specific sales for the week Participate in additional training and leadership activities as directed
- Assist with store promotional sales events as needed
- Assist with the training and mentoring of new associates in the Home Department
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety/sanitation regulations and proce dures
- Assist with all other Home Department duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age due to required operation of Home equipment
- Prior experience with plant care and floral design experience is required
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing conditions, priorities and circumstances
- Ability to maintain composure, meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication, organizational and planning skills
- Ability to make independent decisions regarding department needs and priorities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong sense of urgency, time management, prioritization and multitasking skills
