ABOUT THE ROLE
We’re looking for a School-Based Clinical Supervisor to support and guide a team of clinicians in delivering high-quality, responsive mental health services within an educational setting. In this role, you’ll provide clinical supervision and help staff navigate working in schools. You’ll also collaborate with program leadership to strengthen systems that ensure accessible, effective support for students and their families.

Seneca’s Unconditional Education West Coast Connections Program partners with 10 schools across Contra Costa County to provide students and families with services based on Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS). Our staff implement strategies that range from creating, implementing and monitoring trauma-informed school wide systems that benefit all students, to individualized therapy and targeted behavioral support for students with the highest levels of need. Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively within a transdisciplinary team, including teachers, counselors, specialists, and program leadership
- Provide clinical supervision, coaching, and professional development to school-based clinicians and support staff to ensure services align with Seneca’s values and the principles of Unconditional Care
- Guide staff in meeting educational and behavioral goals for students, while ensuring compliance with documentation, billing, and special education requirements
- Support hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and other personnel responsibilities for assigned team members
- Consult with educators, caregivers, and district partners on topics such as behavior intervention, IEP planning, classroom strategies, and crisis support
- Help foster a safe, inclusive, and trauma-informed school culture that promotes learning, social-emotional growth, and collaboration
- Utilize crisis communication and de-escalation techniques in alignment with Seneca's crisis response training
- This may include intervening with the students’ behavioral program through physical management
Qualifications
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker, registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences with at least two years post-licensure
- Completion of 15-hour clinical supervision prerequisite training as well as ongoing compliance requirements to provide supervision to AMFTs, ASWs, and APCCs in the state of California
- Prior experience working with children/youth and families with intensive mental health needs
- At least 21 years of age
- TB test clearance, fingerprinting clearance, and any other state/federal licensing or certification requirements
- Valid driver's license, clean driving record, and insurability through Seneca Family of Agencies’ insurance policy
Schedule
- 20 hours a week
- Anytime Monday to Friday: 8 AM - 4:30 PM
- Prorated paid time off, holidays, and school break days (based on full-time equivalent)

- Actual salary dependent on creditable experience above the minimum qualifications
