Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Assembly Technician with experience in assembling complex engineered products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reading and interpreting detailed blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings to accurately assemble parts and systems according to precise specifications. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical components, an eye for detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble complex mechanical and engineered products from detailed drawings and specifications.
• Perform precision alignment, fitting, and assembly of components using tools and equipment such as torque wrenches, micrometers, calipers, and other specialized hand tools.
• Verify assembly accuracy through testing and troubleshooting, ensuring that finished products meet quality standards and tolerances.
• Identify and resolve assembly issues or component malfunctions by working closely with engineers and supervisors.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of assembly tools and equipment.
• Adhere to safety protocols, ensuring compliance with all relevant OSHA and company safety standards.
• Document assembly processes and update records to ensure traceability and accountability.

Qualifications:

• 3 years of experience in mechanical assembly, preferably in a manufacturing or engineering environment.
• Proficiency in reading technical blueprints, schematics, and engineering drawings.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with excellent problem-solving skills.
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools and equipment.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• High attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy components during assembly (up to 50 lbs).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in assembling products for aerospace, automotive, or industrial machinery industries.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Certifications in mechanical or industrial technology a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.97 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
