Position Description
The
Count Team Clerk (primary position) is responsible for actively participating
in the operation of the Count Team, is called upon to fill the position of the
Count Team Supervisor (secondary position). The Count Team Supervisor assists in the day to day operation of the
count room and drop process. All duties
are to be performed within the guidelines of the Seneca Gaming Corporation’s
policies and procedures, Internal Control Standards and objectives. Each
position has varying minimum qualifications. In the absence of fully qualified candidates, some requirements may be
waived.
Position Requirements
Education/Experience: 1. Must be 18 years of age or older upon employment. 2. High School diploma or its equivalency required. 3. Adept with mechanical devices is an asset. 4. Six (6) months experience in a count room required. 5. Proven supervisory experience required. 6. Excellent math skills and proven problem solving and analytical skills an asset. Language Skills and Reasoning Ability: 1. Demonstrated accuracy and able to maintain a high level of accountability. 2. Ability to write routine correspondence and to speak effectively to the public, employees and customers. 3. Must have the ability to deal effectively and interact well with the customers and employees. When on the casino floor, the noise levels increase to loud. Must be able to work in an environment where smoking is permitted. 1. Must be able to stand, walk and move through all areas of the casino. 2. Continuously bend/stoop, squat, balance, kneel, bend, lift and push/pull. 3. Continuously carry up to ten (10) pounds and lift up to twenty-four (24) pounds. 4. Occasionally climb heights and reach above shoulder level. 5. Frequently carry twenty-four (24) pounds and lift up to fifty (50) pounds. 6. Maintain physical stamina and proper mental attitude to work under pressure in a fast-paced, casino environment and effectively deal with customers, management, employees and members of the business community in all situations.
