Position Title: Computer Systems Analyst
Location: Austin, TX
Position Status: Contract
Pay Rate: $60/hour on W2 (Based on experience)
Must: Local candidates only
Position Description:
A public sector client of ours in Austin, Texas is looking for a Computer Systems Analyst for a 6-month hybrid contract opportunity that may potentially extend. Due to the nature of the role, they are currently only considering hybrid candidates local to or around the Austin area.
This position performs moderately complex (journey-level) computer systems analysis work under general supervision, with limited latitude for initiative and independent judgment. Employees at this level may rely on direction from others to solve non-standard problems and assist staff with more complex tasks.
Key responsibilities include:
- Analyzing user needs and defining system scope
- Documenting requirements and translating them into functional specifications
- Developing programs and applications using object-oriented programming languages, client-server development, multimedia, and Internet technology
- Testing and diagnosing systems to ensure critical requirements are met
- Analyzing and improving existing procedures, information systems, and utility programs for efficiency and effectiveness
- Performing related tasks as assigned
