Position Description:
- Needs to have 4 years experience in Geotechnical or Civil Engineering,
- A PE license or is willing to get their PE License, as S&ME will sponsor this for them.
- You have at least 1 year of work experience as a project manager or working under a project manager.
- Needs an accredited bachelor's degree in engineering (geotechnical, civil, structural, industrial, etc.) exclude chemical and software engineering.
They will also consider someone with a Professional Geologist (PG) license, as their experience is usually relevant for what they look for.
The job description says needs 4 years of experience but preferably need more than that to be able to provide recommendations without going to someone higher up.
He will be the 1st person to go to.

PE 1 -PE 6 is the range of how they grade and pay each PE dependent on experience.
For this role, this PE level needs to be between a P3 and a P4.
Local to Augusta or okay with relocating. Cost of living is low.

They will sponsor someone to get their PE in Georgia. They do want someone with geotechnical experience, that’s the main thing. A little less than 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering they will consider, but no less than 4 years. Can have a PE anywhere for candidates, but will have to get their PE in Georgia, which is a very easy process so a good thing to hear.
- Project Monitoring: Oversee project scope, schedule, and budget to ensure timely and within-budget completion.
- Geotechnical Testing: Coordinate and conduct laboratory testing and geotechnical analyses to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
- Documentation: Prepare proposals, reports, and design documents with high attention to detail.
- Client Communication: Maintain effective communication with clients, handle invoicing, and manage change orders.
- Business Development: Engage in business development activities, manage client relationships, and supervise staff to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
- You have a Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or closely related field
- You have a minimum of 4 years experience in Geotechnical Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education, certification, and related experience
- You have at least 1 year of work experience as a project manager or working under a project manager
- You have a Professional Engineer license in Georgia or the ability to obtain, a plus
- You have excellent computer skills with the ability to learn commercial software applications
