Position Title : Senior Business Systems Analyst
Location : Richmond, VA (Hybrid)
Position Status : Contract
Pay Rate : $50 / hr
Position Description :
The Client is seeking to fill an open project contract position of Senior Business Systems Analyst (BSA). The project is the complete revamping of the client's Enterprise Resource Planning system (ERP), which includes a replacement of the following legacy systems to be combined into a single centralized solution : Human Resources, Fiscal, Procurement, Grants, and Warehouse & Inventory. In this position the selected candidate will play a pivotal role in bridging the gap between business objectives and technological solutions. This work includes analyzing complex business processes, requirements elicitation and documentation, internal review of other BSA documentation, and the creation and / or review of comprehensive meeting minutes during project related meetings. The BSA will work closely with the project manager(s), developers, quality assurance analysts, and business stakeholders.
Responsibilities :
- Help determine operational objectives by studying multiple departmental business functions, gathering information, and evaluating output requirements.
- Works with stakeholders to record current business processes & procedures and provide guidance and support on developing new ones, for each functional area covered by the ERP.
- Works with project team, vendors, and stakeholders to identify, record, and disseminate all aspects of change management.
- Analyze and evaluate business processes.
- Analyze business and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper systems requirements specifications.
- Consult with personnel from various departments to identify areas for the development of technical solutions to automate and / or improve business processes.
- Collaborate with stakeholders.
- Improve operational efficiency.
- Bridge communication between business users and IT teams and maintaining ongoing communication with management.
- Monitor and report on the progress of business initiatives and provide guidance and support to other business analysts.
