The Market at the Point (The Market) is a retail store owned by Senior Action, a nonprofit, for the purpose of generating revenue to support Senior Action’s mission to serve the 55 population in Greenville. The Market includes 43 individual small businesses that rent booth space within The Market space. The Store Manager for The Market is responsible for all management duties of The Market including selecting, scheduling, and training sales team; seeking and confirming booth vendors; financial oversight and deposits; social media and marketing efforts; overseeing furniture donation program; vendor relations; and store classes and special events.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
· Two years’ experience in retail management and proven sales records.
· Experience with social media marketing and producing attractive flyers.
KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / ABILITIES
- Focus on customer service.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of issues and retail management.
- Experience in activity planning and maintaining daily documentation.
- Time management skills.
- Ability to make quick decisions.
