Summary: Operates light to medium punch presses to perform a variety of operations involving single trip operations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Under general supervision, must exercise knowledge to perform a variety of job duties relating to the operation of blanking and trimming to yield parts, including but not limited to: Assists skilled operators in the set-up and operation of all types of punch presses by performing manual duties as directed. Requires care in nesting parts or feeding stock to prevent damage to tool. All set-ups are to be made by previously established method and under close supervision. Performs typical operations such as pre-forming, final forming and stake nozzles. Checks parts to blueprints specifications, templates and jigs. Must be able to troubleshoot and make minor adjustment to machine when necessary. Performs rework, repair and other associated operations relating to the work described. Follow all Senior policies and procedure. Other duties as assigned. Education and/or Experience: High School Degree or General Education Degree; or 2-5 years related experience and/ or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Required Skills: Language: Ability to interpret work order/ traveler work instructions, able to establish a good communication channel with peers, also knows how to read assembly blue prints. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply a general understanding to carry out detailed, written and oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Mathematical Skills: Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Tools used: Hand tools, impact gun and various gauges.
