What are the responsibilities and job description for the Caregiver Skills Trainer position at Senior Helpers - Geneva, IL?
We are seeking an experienced CNA to perform regular orientation training, skills training and assessments, and ongoing / in-service training at our office in Geneva. A qualified candidate will have a CNA or equivalent certification, two years of recent experience in a community health or home service environment, and a track record of effective training and skills assessment.

Ongoing Paid Training
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Conduct regular orientation sessions for new caregivers to familiarize them with company policies, procedures, and client care expectations.
- Deliver comprehensive skills training programs to enhance caregiver competencies and ensure high-quality care.
- Perform skills assessments to evaluate caregiver proficiency and identify areas for improvement.
- Provide ongoing / in-service training to keep caregivers updated on best practices, new techniques, and any changes in regulations or company protocols.
- Collaborate with the management team to identify training needs and deliver tailored training solutions.
- Maintain accurate records of training sessions, assessments, and caregiver progress.
- Provide support and guidance to caregivers, addressing any concerns or challenges they may encounter.
- The caregiver trainer will cover shifts for caregivers when needed
- Training sessions for caregivers will be conducted at the Geneva office, with some sessions taking place in clients' homes
QUALIFICATIONS :
We perform detailed assessments before sending our caregivers into the homes.
We serve seniors mainly in Geneva, Batavia, North Aurora, Aurora, Sugar Grove, Montgomery, Oswego, Plainfield, Yorkville, Plano, and Sandwich. Senior Helpers was founded in 2002 with a vision to help seniors age with dignity.
