The Lead Caregiver is an integral part of our Care Support Team, combining hands-on care with leadership responsibilities. The ideal candidate will be dependable, adaptable, and skilled at quickly assessing and meeting the needs of clients. Your role will involve mentoring new caregivers, ensuring high standards of care, and supporting clients with a seamless experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs) for clients during open shifts and while new clients are transitioning to their regular caregiver
- Conduct caregiver/client introductions, ensuring a smooth transition and fostering strong relationships
- Provide mentorship and support to new caregivers in the field, offering guidance and ensuring high-quality care standards are met
- Ensure that client care plans are followed and update them as necessary, while maintaining communication with the management team
- Step in and provide assistance when needed, including on weekends and evenings, ensuring clients receive continuous care
Qualifications:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must have a valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle to commute to work
- Available to work every other weekend and flexible for evening shifts as needed
- Comfortable performing personal cares for both male and female clients
- Able to work in homes with pets (i.e. cats/dogs)
- CNA or HHA certification preferred
- Caring, compassionate, and passionate about helping others
- Willingness to learn new skills to better assist clients
- Experience in healthcare, home care, assisted living, independent living, home health, or nursing assistance is a plus!
