Overview : We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Nurse Caregiver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing care and be proficient in utilizing medical equipment such as a Hoyer lift for patient transfers. They should possess exceptional communication skills and be able to provide assistance with activities of daily living, including bowel movement assistance and skilled transfers. We are looking for OVERNIGHTS and WEEKEND SHIFTS.
Responsibilities :
- Patient Care : Provide compassionate and skilled care to patients in accordance with their individual care plans and medical needs.
- Utilization of Medical Equipment : Proficiently operate and utilize medical equipment, including but not limited to Hoyer lifts, to safely transfer patients with mobility limitations.
- Assist with Bowel Movements : Provide assistance with bowel movements in a respectful and dignified manner, ensuring patient comfort and hygiene.
- Skilled Transfers : Perform skilled transfers of patients from beds to wheelchairs, chairs, or other surfaces using appropriate techniques and equipment to prevent injury to both the patient and caregiver.
- Monitoring and Reporting : Monitor patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall condition, promptly reporting any changes to the nursing team or healthcare provider.
- Medication Management : Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals, ensuring accuracy and compliance with medication protocols.
- Personal Care : Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting, while maintaining their dignity and privacy.
- Emotional Support : Provide emotional support and companionship to patients and their families, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment.
- Documentation : Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient care activities, including assessments, interventions, and outcomes, in accordance with facility policies and procedures.
