This position is responsible for providing personal assistance to residents in Independent Living and Assisted Living.
Job Description
- Provide Home Making Services as required : Make the bed, wash dishes, tidy the apartment, organize closets and dresser drawers, launder clothing and bedding, iron, grocery shopping, meal preparations.
- Provide additional assistance as required.
- Document on the daily report sheets services provided to the resident. Daily reports to be completed and returned at the end of each shift.
- Attend all required training, in-service, and staff meetings.
- Strive to maintain a safe working environment through the prevention of accidents, the preservation of equipment, and the achievement of safe working practices.
- Maintain a positive and professional demeanor toward residents, visitors, families, and co-workers.
- Provide personal care as required, including but not limited to giving shower / tub or sponge baths, shampooing hair,assisting with dressing, shaving, providing incontinence care, medication reminders, wheelchair transportation, transferring residents.
Qualifications
Level of Formal Education : High School diploma or equivalent.
Area of Study : General Education
Years of Experience : 0-1 years
Type of Experience : General patient care in a care facility or in a home situation.
Language Skills : The ability to understand and speak the English language.
Personal Attributes : Patience and compassion for the elderly.
