It also has industry-leading CNC turning, milling, deep hole gun drilling, grinding and honing capabilities.
What does the job involve?
GA Precision is looking for a temporar,y part-time position for an unknown duration of time. The position reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager and is responsible for the implementation of cost-effective machining processes. Formulates, administers, and coordinates manufacturing engineering practices designed to improve operating performance, reduce waste and delays and otherwise promote cost reductions on an organization basis. Reviews production methods, equipment layout, material handling, and personnel, equipment and material utilization in order to improve operating performance and safety.

What will my responsibilities include?
- Supervision of Inspectors including scheduling, time, and attendance.
- Establish Partmaker Templates
- Optimize post processor or for each type of Swiss Machine
- Train other individuals
- Maintain and oversee inspection methods.
- Identify non-conformances, and assist in resolving non-conformances.
- Assist in evaluation of customer returned parts for defects and cause of defects.
- Guide workload that flows though inspection
- Assist in development of inspection instructions and procedures.
- Develop inspection reports for documenting inspection results.
- Evaluate and monitor inspection documentation.
- Assist with ISO system integration
- Conduct weekly inspection staff meetings
- Conduct inspection time studies for determination of inspection rates
- Other duties as deemed necessary by the position of Senior Quality Systems Engineer and the Quality Manager
What key skills and experience do I need?
- Ability to read blueprints, use gages properly, and interpret gage readings.
- Ability to conduct visual inspection with and without aid of scopes and magnification devices
- Possess good oral communication, technical writing skills and organizational skills.
- Ability to interpret technical information and data furnished in written, oral diagram, or schedule form.
- The employee must lift and/or move up to 20 pounds. Position requires physical effort and ability to work with light or average weight material.
What qualifications should I have?
- Associate or Bachelor degree in a technical area or quality assurance.
- Minimum of two years related experience.
- Certification as a Quality Auditor or Engineer through the American Society of Quality is desired.
