Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Specialist to join our senior care business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and experience with various billing software and HRIS systems. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate billing processes, managing accounts receivable, and providing excellent support to our clients. The Billing Specialist will collaborate closely with the accounting department and human resources to maintain accurate records and resolve any discrepancies. The position is part-time, with the possibility of full-time hours as the business grows.
Responsibilities
- Manage the billing process for clients, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
- Analyze billing data and prepare reports to identify trends or discrepancies.
- Utilize accounting software and HRIS systems such as UltiPro and PeopleSoft for efficient data management.
- Assist in benefits administration by processing related transactions accurately.
- Collaborate with the technical accounting team to ensure compliance with tax regulations.
- Maintain organized records of all billing transactions, adjustments, and payments received.
- Respond to client inquiries regarding billing issues promptly and professionally.
- Support the finance team in month-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Billing Specialist or similar role in accounting or finance.
- Familiarity with accounting software and HRIS systems; experience with UltiPro and PeopleSoft is a plus. QuickBooks experience preferred.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately.
- Knowledge of tax regulations as they pertain to billing processes is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective client interaction.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team within a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $21.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 21 per week
