POSITION: Reception and Rental Assistant (PT-Program Assistant)
General Description: The Reception and Rental Assistant is responsible for providing high-quality customer service for organization customers, clients, visitors, and staff at The Lourie Center. This position assists in clerical and programmatic duties and has responsibility for center schedule organization, following established methods, procedures and policies involving some independent judgment in carrying out tasks.
Additional Information:
This is a part-time position at up to 25 hours/week, generally between the hours of 8:30am - 1:00pm. SRI compensation schedule 14. Reports to the Director of Community Based Services.
Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greets clients, volunteers, visitors, and staff in the reception area.
- Provides general organizational information over the phone and in-person.
- Answers center phone lines and routes calls to appropriate responsible staff.
- Responds to rental inquiries and completes rental applications.
- Schedule and provide tours to document event plans to rental customers.
- Assists in updating database systems by clients, volunteers, and employees.
- Maintains a welcoming and inviting entrance and reception area.
- Tracks center activities and compiles monthly activity reports as required.
- Provides supportive assistance across the organization, as needed.
- Completing clerical duties and special projects as assigned by Director of Community Based Services and/or Executive Director.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent, required; associate’s degree or higher, preferred. Customer service experience required, with strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. Must be dependable and courteous in a fast-paced environment. Word processing and computer skills required. Must be able to lift, bend and carry up to 25 lbs for 100 feet.
