What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified IV Pharmacy Technician position at Senior Solutions Pharmacy?
SUMMARY
Under the supervision of a Pharmacist, the Pharmacy IV Technician will be responsible for daily handling of on-going pharmacy IV workload to service LTC patients and manage patient IV care plans and therapy.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Include the following; however other duties may be assigned:
-Preparation of sterile, low-risk medications
-Organize and maintain IV department record keeping, cleanroom maintenance in accordance with USP standards
- Follow all policy and procedures of Senior Solutions Pharmacy
-Enter IV prescription orders into the computer
-Organize and maintain pump and pole equipment at the nursing facilities and annual maintenance of each unit
-Perform other duties as instructed

· Education: High School
· Experience and Skills: some computer skills
Certificates/Licenses/and/or Registrations - Texas Pharmacy Technician License and ACPE Sterile IV Admixtures certification
