What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tech Instructor position at Senior Tech Connect?
Senior Tech Connect is looking for motivated individuals to help us teach our elderly neighbors how to use smartphones, tablets, computers, and more! Learn to teach group classes, with an audience of 5-35 senior individuals. This position offers very flexible work hours based on your availability. We are a fast-growing tech start-up with many opportunities for vertical growth within the company!
Responsibilities
- Deliver culturally competent instruction to older adults to maximize their tech fluency.
- Arrive 10-15 minutes early to scheduled training sessions and appointments.
- Communicate early and often with supervisor and company staff.
Qualifications
- Excellent verbal and digital communication skills. Public speaking skills are preferred but can be learned via our crawl/walk/run method.
- Ability to learn and instruct on all kinds of smartphones and smart devices.
- Availability during weekday mornings of at least 3 hours per week for at least 8 weeks.
- Self-transportation throughout Miami-Dade County.
- Ideal for someone looking for flexible scheduling, and not a 9-5 schedule. We currently have a high demand for Spanish / English, and Creole/English speakers!
- Those with backgrounds in education, tech, or communications are ideal, but not required.
- Background check and drug screen are required
