Job description
We are seeking a Professional Maintenance Technician to perform highly diversified duties. Responsibilities will include to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety. Also, manage predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives; oversee preventative maintenance of all equipment, ordering and inventory of all spare parts, tools, supplies, etc.
Critical Responsibilities Include:
- To ensure all Company production equipment is working efficiently and safely.
- Perform highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility’s equipment.
- Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production and perform scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.
- Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, inspect, test and make adjustments.
- Make sure all maintenance projects are logged, tracked and completed within a timely basis.
- Perform regular preventive maintenance, on machines, equipment and plant facilities.
- Document in writing and review periodically for completeness.
- Maintain an adequate inventory of parts, tools, back-up equipment and supplies needed to run the physical plant and keep equipment operational as communicated by the Maintenance Manager.
- Follow appropriate purchasing procedures as outlined in the Corporate Procurement Policy.
- Make sure that as new chemicals, parts, etc. arrive that an SDS is placed on the file for that product and any special handling, storage, etc. requirements are brought to the attention of the plant safety coordinator.
- Be aware of any environmental issues and resolve them; be aware of any environmental record keeping required and insure it is done properly.
- Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties.
- Detect faulty operations, defective material and report those and any unusual situations to proper supervision.
- To work with the Safety Administrator to implement all safety programs at Win Plastics so as to provide a safe work environment for all employees and meet all required OSHA standards.
- Complete the electrical documentation for all electrical power sources in the plant.
- Perform all other duties as assigned or needed.
Safety Responsibilities Include:
- Conduct safety audits on a periodic basis and manage adherence of safety policies and activities on the production floor.
- When necessary, meet with OSHA or other safety personnel as directed by the Director of Operations.
- Assist as needed in safety related projects and required periodic inspections.
- Make sure all fire protection systems, firefighting and safety equipment are always in proper working order and meet specifications, conducting required inspections.

- Maintain documentation of the energy source and lock-out source for every piece of equipment and electrical outlet located facility; identify breakers accordingly; assemble information in an easy to access binder.
- Wear appropriate PPE and comply with all Win Plastic safety policies.
- Be responsible for the safety of visitors, contractors, etc. when they are on our property. Make sure they are following our safety policies (PPE, etc.)
- Enforce implementation in coordination with shift supervisors of all safety policies and act as night-shift safety coordinator.
Secondary Responsibilities Include:
- Maintain professional demeanor and a positive attitude always; Set an example of professionalism for others.
- Be responsible for the overall housekeeping of the maintenance area.
- Maintain a current tow motor license and qualify as power industrial trainer for new employees.
