The Buyer at Sensaria is responsible for managing inventory levels, coordinating material planning activities, and executing purchasing functions to support production demands. This role requires a strong understanding of supply chain principles, analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Demand Planning: Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts based on production schedules and historical data. Coordinate material planning activities for short and long lead-time products to optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
• Purchasing: Initiate and manage purchase orders for parts, services, and special tools. Negotiate prices and terms with suppliers, ensuring cost-effective and timely procurement.
• Inventory Management: Oversee inventory levels, conduct physical inventories, and implement strategies to optimize stock levels and reduce carrying costs.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers. Resolve PO/invoice/payment issues in collaboration with the Accounts Payable team.
• Data Analysis: Analyze production data and inventory levels to identify trends and areas for improvement. Utilize data to inform purchasing decisions and optimize inventory levels.
• Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline purchasing and planning processes. Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with accounts payable, production, engineering, and warehouse teams to ensure smooth operations and effective material flow.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or related field or Equivalent Experience.
• 1-2 years of experience in production planning, materials control, or purchasing.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.

The Buyer/Planner plays a crucial role in optimizing the supply chain by balancing cost, quality, and delivery performance. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Additional Responsibilities

• Participate in special projects as assigned.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain.

Pay Range: $45,000 Annually
