What are the responsibilities and job description for the Production Manager position at Sensitron Semiconductor?
Production Manager for Hi-Reliability product line who will direct, plan, and administer production activities of the department.
Responsibilities :
- Primary responsibilities include managing production for on-time delivery, revenue, and profitability, while meeting quality and safety requirements.
- Responsible for achieving department goals such as revenue / shipment, operator productivity, product quality, safety requirements or any other department goals.
- Manage operator production activities, provide direction and support for all work shifts, establish work schedules and assignments and when necessary, work thru other supervisors or managers.
- Manage material planning, expediting, incoming, material deficiencies, etc., all as necessary to achieve department goals, while interacting and supporting other departments involved in this process.
- Support all company system and quality requirements that drive cost saving initiatives, efficiency gains, process improvements, labor utilization, and improvements in quality and yield rates.
- Interact with other department managers and supervisors to support common department goals in a manner as defined by manager.
- Work with sales department and business development personnel for any sales requirements like pricing, delivery scheduling, device development, etc. all while achieving a high level of internal and external customer satisfaction.
- Interact with engineering and support personnel for product development and product documentation such as BOM's, Routers, Engineering changes, etc. in a positive and supportive manner.
- Enforce company policies, standards, quality methods and ISO procedures
- Address employee concerns, resolve problems, train, coach and discipline employees and make recommendations for hiring and firing.
- Communicate continuously in a professional manner, consistent with supporting other team members, manager and company overall.
- Resolve and troubleshoot any issues with all above requirements in a constructive, participative and positive manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
