POSITION : IT Manager
LOCATION : Chatsworth, CA
SHIFT : Day (7 : 00 am - 5 : 30 pm; Monday thru Thursday)
FLSA : Exempt
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Manage the IT Department, which consists of 2 IT Support Specialists.
Maintain ERP / MRP system and support team members with the application(s).
Identify departmental process improvements utilizing the ERP system.
Train departments on ERP and various system functions as needed.
Manage customization projects with direction from the IT Director.
Maintaining various software / hardware systems that fall under the IT Infrastructure not listed (Servers, Phones, Emails, Cameras, Door Access Controls, etc.).
Perform daily and monthly reviews of the IT systems (following a checklist of activities).
Maintain backup systems with quarterly restore tests.
Establish and maintain user accounts, profiles, file sharing, access privileges and security.
Advanced knowledge in deploying new hardware, software, and various IT systems / resources.
Provide technical support to users for hardware, software, and connectivity issues (Internet, network, email, VOIP phones, printers, etc.).
Respond to out-of-band tasks both during regular hours and on-call.
Assist in maintaining computerized production floor equipment.
Maintain contact with system vendors to achieve maximum operation and utilization.
Installation, repair, and wiring of computer equipment and networks as needed.
Installs, upgrades, and configures workstations, laptops, network printing, directory structures, rights, security, software and file services.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE :
A 4-year technical bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or Engineering required. Equivalent experience may be accepted.
General Technical knowledge should include the following : Microsoft Server, Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office Products, Office365 administration, TCP / IP, Ethernet, Enterprise Endpoint Protection, Scripting, Wireless Networks, and Router Management.
Minimum of five years of hands-on technical support experience. Must be well-organized, flexible and able to work in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, company policies, and procedure manuals.
Work must be performed at a high-quality level. Must have excellent problem-solving skills, with a strong sense of urgency and strong attention to detail.
