Our approach is based on strong scientific principles and links advanced sensory methods with consumer research using the latest statistical analysis procedures to provide business and technical solutions to our clients in industry, government and academia for confident decision making.

Due to our ongoing growth, we are seeking a full time Human Resources Associate (Generalist) to add to our team.

Flexible work schedule possible within the company’s business hours of 8 am - 5 pm, Monday - Friday, eastern time.

Hybrid work schedule possible: work from home combined with pre-planned days in the office (for new hire orientation, team meetings, etc). Candidates must be local to the tri-state area so they are able to come into the office as needed on shorter notice.

The HR Generalist is responsible in supporting for various Human Resources functions in partnership with the Senior HR Generalist / Director. This includes variety responsibilities supporting administrative functions, recruiting and onboarding, safety, HRIS, policies, HR operations and benefits.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following supporting:

  • HRIS (ADP Workforce Now) - basic first tier support with employees
  • Recruitment - Assist hiring managers in recruiting i.e., Screening, interview scheduling, ads; Create job posting and job description; Respond to applicant inquires in-person, over the phone and via email.
  • Performance Management (PM) - Manage roll out of online process throughout year; Coach employees and managers on PM related issues and goal setting; Support related training
  • Safety companywide initiatives including safety team participation, OSHA training
  • Onboarding / new hire orientation
  • Assist with company benefit administration ie plan questions, working with broker, open enrollment.
  • Employment compliance on federal, state and local levels for various company locations - draft, educate and communicate new, revised company policies and procedures; Recommend & rollout new approaches, policies, & procedures for continual improvements in efficiency and services operationally and administratively

· Employee Relations (ER)

o Support HR senior generalist

o Coach employees and managers including write ups, disciplinary meetings

o Leave management

· Terminations - Conduct Exit interviews; manage Involuntary Terminations

· Training: Support LMS and create & coordinate training as identified

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred
  • Previous Human Resources experience min 3 years
  • Sound independent judgement
  • Above average written and oral communication skills
  • Flexibility to work / address timely ER issues when they arise (even during non-business hours)
  • HRIS support experience (ADP WFN experience preferred)
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision required.
  • Ability to remain calm while working under pressure in a busy environment.
  • Ability to work within timeframe of standard policies and procedures.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality related to sensitive company and employee information.
  • Thorough knowledge of HR principles and federal/local regulations
  • Excellent ability to multi-task and prioritize in a busy, fast-growth environment
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Teams and Power Point is essential
  • Exhibit extraordinary discretion, confidentiality, flexibility, and willingness to work closely with our team
  • Experience working in a small to medium sized company with geographically diverse locations
  • Experience working with part time employee population

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $14.00 - $30.00 per hour
