Sentara is hiring a Equipment Resource Associate for the Sterile Processing Department at Sentara Norfolk General Hospital in Norfolk, Virginia.
Job Description
Responsible for medical equipment supplies in a healthcare organization. Responsibilities include cleaning, maintaining, performing functional checks and repairing/ coordinating the repair of the equipment prior to being issued/ reissued to patient.
This position will work as a liaison between the Sterile Processing Department and the Operating Room.
Hours: 11a-7p Monday-Friday.
Education
- HSD/GED REQUIRED
Certification/Licensure
- No experience required
Experience
- Ability to triage and work under pressure is REQUIRED
- 1 year of experience in healthcare, customer service, supply chain, or another relevant area REQUIRED.
- Prior Operating Room, CSS, sterilization, or central sterile processing experience strongly preferred
- Excellent customer service and phone skills strongly preferred
