Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Company builds circuit boards, electrical cables and wire harnesses.
Pay Rate: $20/hr
Work Hours:
1st shift: 7am-3:30pm. ½ hr lunch (unpaid) and 2- 15 minute breaks (paid).
SUMMARY: Receive electronic parts, hardware, material, supplies, or tools by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Counts and verifies all incoming packages to and inspect for any visible damage.
Reviews incoming receipts and verifies that the Part Number, Manufacture Part Number and Packing Slip all match; that the quantity also matches the Purchase Order and the Receipt Entry Screen.
Verifies parts meet all quality code requirements and enters the Date Code and the Lot Code for tracking as required per receipt.
Receives material against the Purchase Orders using the MES software
Adheres the MSL and Shelf Life Labels according to Receiving Procedure.
Place parts/materials/supplies on stocking carts according to location given by the computer.
Notifies other Departments via email, when material or supplies are received for those areas.
Investigate any Receiving Discrepancies.
Trains and assists other Receiving Clerks.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school Diploma required. One year certificate from college or technical school a plus or three to six months related experience and training.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Must be able to use simple math. Computer knowledge of Windows and Excel are required. Knowledge of electronic components is preferred. Must be aware of, and observe ESD precautions.
