Overview:
Sentinel Safety & Security Group, LLC is a dynamic strategic ownership group rapidly growing operations in the design, fabrication, installation, and maintenance of commercial fire sprinkler systems. We are looking to expand our team to include an IT Support Intern in our Appleton, WI corporate office.
The IT Support Intern will assist the IT department in various tasks, providing technical support to staff, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to the maintenance and improvement of our IT systems. This internship provides hands-on experience and an opportunity to develop practical skills in a real-world setting.

IT Support Intern Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Provide first-level technical support to staff by responding to hardware, software, and network-related inquiries and issues.
- Diagnose and resolve technical problems, including hardware malfunctions, software issues, and connectivity problems.
- Perform routine maintenance and updates on computers and mobile devices, including installing and configuring software, hardware, and network devices.
- Set up and configure new computers, printers, and other IT equipment for new hires and existing staff.
- Maintaining technical documentation, support requests, and maintenance schedules.
- Work closely with other IT team members and departments to support ongoing projects and initiatives.
- Assist in the orientation and training of users on how to operate new software and computer equipment.
IT Support Intern Qualifications:
Professional and Educational Experience:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting and analytical skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality support and service.
- Basic understanding of hardware components, including desktops, laptops, printers, and networking equipment.
- Proficiency with Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and basic knowledge of networking principles and troubleshooting techniques.
